Episode 16
16: YOUR NETWORK IS YOUR NET WORTH - DON'T BE AN ASK HOLE
Today's episode is about how I utilized my network to get to where I am today. The people you surround yourself with typically determines your net-worth. You cannot navigate this world alone. Birds clean between alligator teeth; Dolphins fish with humans; Snails hitch rides on turtles. If nature is doing it, why aren't you? You will have a tougher time landing a job or even starting your own business without the help of your network.
Your first job starts your whole career. So why not start it with someone who you are in communication with and can make a "warm" introduction to their supervisor / manager?
It's a no brainer. However, below are some books on networking that I've found interesting.
